How do I turn on patient booking notifications in Dentally Portal?

Notifications to alert your team to patients' booking activities can be enabled by in Portal's settings.

  • Go to 'Online Booking' and click 'Settings' in the toolbar on the left-hand side.

  • Scroll down to 'Site notifications' and select your chosen practice site.

  • Here you will be able to turn on/off notifications for various types of patient booking.

When notifications are enabled, emails are sent to your site's inbox to inform you of patient booking activity.

What types of patient booking notifications can I receive?

You can set your Portal up to inform your administrative staff whenever:

  • New patients book an appointment - this would include any patients who are new to the practice

  • Existing patients book an appointment - this would include lapsed patients (even if they book a 'New or lapsed patient exam')

  • A booking is cancelled

  • A patient comments on a booking
