Set a Practitioner Prior Approval Limit

As of 1st November 2026, practitioner tiers will determine general dentistry prior approval rules and limits.

Tier and rule information will be sent by the NHS automatically and can be accessed from the “Tiers” button on the Practitioner window.

If tier information has not been automatically received by the effective date, and you have confirmed the correct tier assignment with the NHS, you can manually create tiers using the “Create entry” button.

Orthodontic prior approval limits are managed by the monetary tier amount.

When setting up a new practitioner, you need to remember to set the Approval Limit - in this box set as "Tier Amount".
