To record a new Orthodontic Case assessment, go to the patient's chart.
Open a Treatment Plan and chart as normal.
Open the Ortho Tab and create a New Assessment.
Work through the form. (You will find it helpful to have disabled Chart Locking).
Where there is a red star, it is a mandatory field.
Where there are sliders, use them to position the relevant data.
β
Where there is a check button, clicking on it opens additional fields for you to complete.
If you are going to submit the ortho assessment to the NHS as part of a claim, you must ensure you select one or more Treatment Objectives. Β If you do not, you will have errors. Select one or more statements by clicking on them.
Treatment Objectives are not mandatory if this is a private patient.
β
When you have completed all the fields and all the notes, click Save.
β
You can see the assessment in the Ortho tab.
You can edit and amend the assessment at any time by clicking on the edit button to the left of the Status.
Create further Ortho Assessments
Over time, you may wish to create further Ortho Assessments for this patient, to record progress, for example.
β
If you create a New Ortho Assessment, in order to help you, the data from the previous assessment is automatically copied into the new assessment so that you only have to record things that have changed.
Enabling the Orthodontic Assessment Option for non-NHS Orthodontic Sites
In the Settings menu, go to Practice Settings, then the Other tab at the top of the screen. In this section, go to Custom Fields and Charting and Enable Ortho Assessments.
