How do I send a new email from the 'Correspondence' tab?
To send a patient a new SMS:
In the 'Correspondence' tab, click 'New Correspondence'.
Select 'New SMS' from the dropdown.
The patient's email address will auto-populate the recipient field if known, or it can be edited/entered manually.
You can also send it to a doctor/specialist instead/as well. They must already be recorded in your system.
Enter the text you wish to send, or select a template from the dropdown. It can include images and attachments, links and formatting such as bold, italics and bullet points.
To add image branding to your email, this must be done through HTML code. You will need someone who can provide HTML coding to enable this for you - it cannot be provided by our support team.
Click 'Send' - a copy will be stored in the 'Correspondence' tab.
You can click 'Save' to save as a draft to come back to. If you click 'X' in the top corner of the email before sending, you will also be given the option to save before closing. Once saved, it can be found in the 'Correspondence' tab with the word 'Draft' next to it - simply click 'Edit' to reopen and continue with it.
You will be able to see the status of the email once sent, if you use a dentallymail.com email address.
Delivered means that the email has landed in the patient's inbox.
Opened means the email has been opened by the patient.
Clicked means that a link within the email has been clicked.
Dropped means the email has been identified as spam by the patient's email provider and has since been blocked before it has reached the recipient. The patient may need to check the settings of their email service to allow Dentally emails to come through.
