Can I store scanned documents in a patient's record?
If you have printed correspondences or information which you wish to save to a patient record, you can scan and upload it in their 'Correspondence' tab. This ensures you have a copy in the cloud.
Scan your document on your computer as you normally would. Keep the file size low unless high res is required.
Save to your computer.
Navigate to the 'Correspondence' tab in the patient record.
Click 'New Correspondence' and select 'Upload document'.
Click to upload or drag and drop the file into the grey box. You can upload multiple files at once.
Add details of the document for reference.
You can click 'View' next to any uploaded document to open it, from where you can download, print or delete as needed.
PDFs and images will show a preview. If you have uploaded a Word document, this cannot be previewed within Dentally - you will need to download and open it on your computer to view the preview.
