๐ Please note: It is not possible to print any email/SMS/logged call from within the 'Correspondence' tab or the inbox - you can screenshot it, or forward any emails to another email address that can be accessed outside Dentally, where you can then print if needed.
How do I use the 'Correspondence' tab?
All correspondence with or about a patient is listed in chronological order in the 'Correspondence' tab, with the most recent items at the top. From here they can be resent or printed if needed.
This correspondence can be:
Phone Calls
Letters
Emails
SMS Messages
Scanned Documents
Estimates
This list will include correspondences from you to the patient, and if the patient replies to you via email or SMS (as long as they reply to your Dentally practice email address or to an SMS sent from Dentally, and as long as their email address or mobile number matches the records in Dentally). If their email address doesn't match, you can click 'Assign to Patient' in the inbox to link it.
Click the printer icon on any correspondence to print it (you'll find it in the top right corner of any open correspondence which can be printed).
You can edit any existing correspondence (if it can be edited) by clicking 'Edit' to the right of that item.
You can delete items by opening them and clicking the corresponding delete button, but please note this is not reversible - once deleted, they cannot be recovered. Level 2 users and below can only delete their own correspondences from within the last 3 hours. Level 3 users and above can delete any correspondences. No users can delete records of SMS messages.
How do I create a new correspondence from the 'Correspondence' tab?
New correspondence can be created by clicking on the 'New Correspondence' button and selecting the type you wish to create. The steps which follow each type will vary, but you will be guided through the process and able to select templates where appropriate.
If you select 'Upload document', you will be prompted to upload a file, and can include additional information if required.
