How do I print the full calendar view?
🚨 Important: This is currently in Beta testing and is not globally available. If you can't see it yet, you will do soon.
If you wish to print today's calendar, exactly as it appears on screen, you can do so from within the calendar. This will include all appointments, and any applied filters.
Printed calendars are formatted to fit standard A4 in landscape for readability. Once generated, it is 'read only' and cannot be edited - so make the changes you need within the calendar itself before printing.
In the calendar, ensure your view is set to either single day or multi-day. Check any other filters you want are applied as needed (eg. practitioners/locations).
📝 Please note: Printing the full calendar is optimised for 5 practitioners in single-day view, and 2 practitioners in multi-day view.
Click the printer icon in the top right corner.
Set the 'Print full calendar' toggle to on, then click 'Print'.
This will open a PDF preview, showing today's calendar exactly as it appears in Dentally.
From here you can save to your computer, or send to the printer.
Things to consider when printing:
To ensure your calendar fits on one page, with better readability and spacing:
Single day view - Include no more than 5 practitioners, with 15 minute appointment intervals, and up to 8 hours.
Multi-day view - Include no more than 3 practitioners, with 15 minute appointment intervals, and up to 8 hours.
The layout is optimised for clarity - spacing, font size and pagination are designed to priortise readibility rather than fitting in the maximum amount of info.
Always preview the printout before printing or saving.
How do I print a daylist?
If you wish to see a list of all appointments today, rather than a whole calendar, you can view them in-app using the visit panel, or you can print a daylist.
This generates a list of today's appointments (without any calendar formatting), in PDF form.
In the calendar, click the printer icon in the top right corner.
Select which practitioners you wish to include or exclude from the list (by default, all practitioners currently visible in your calendar will be selected).
Include whether you wish to include date of birth, phone number and legacy ID.
Click 'Print', and a PDF list will be generated ready for printing.
