๐Ÿ“ Please note: These are different from a patient's clinical notes.

How do I manage my non-clinical notes?

  • In the patient record, go to the 'Notes' tab.

How do I customise the colour of a non-clinical note?

  • In the patient record, go to the 'Notes' tab.

  • Find the note you wish to customise. In the bottom right corner, click the โ„น๏ธ icon (the 'i' in a circle).

  • This will open the note's customisation view. You will see a range of colours you can choose from.

  • Click the colour you want, then click 'Save'.

  • When the sticky note flips back round, it will be in the colour you have selected.

How do I pin a non-clinical note?

Pinning a non-clinical note will make it pop up in the top right corner of the patient's record whenever you navigate to it. To pin a sticky note:

  • In the patient record, go to the 'Notes' tab.

  • Find the note you wish to pin. Click the ๐Ÿ“Œ pin icon in the bottom right corner of the note

  • Ensure you click 'Save' after clicking the pin - if you don't, the note will not be pinned to the 'Details' screen.

  • Once the note has been successfully pinned, refresh the page and the sticky note will appear in the top right corner of the patient record.

  • It will be visible on every tab, making it easy to spot your pinned notes at a glance from anywhere in the patient record - but you can also hide the pinned note at any time if it is in your way (it will reappear next time you visit this patient's record).

  • You can also make edits to the pinned note from anywhere in the patient record, in the same way as you do from the 'Notes' tab.

  • It is possible to have more than one pinned note visible.

How do I hide a pinned non-clinical note?

You can hide a pinned note if it is in the way of your view.

  • From anywhere in the patient record, click 'Hide' on the pinned note you wish to dismiss.

  • The pinned note will disappear from view until the next time you refresh.

How do I delete a non-clinical note?

  • In the patient record, go to the 'Notes' tab.

  • Find the note you wish to customise. In the top left corner of the customisation view, click the โŽ button (the X in a circle).

  • A warning message will appear. If you wish to continue deleting the note, click 'Delete'. Once deleted, the note cannot be restored.

How do I view a non-clinical note's audit history?

You can see when a note was edited, by whom, or what changes were made, using the 'Note History'.

  • In the patient record, go to the 'Notes' tab.

  • Find the note you wish to view. Click the clock ๐Ÿ•“ icon under the author and to the left of the last edited time.

  • This will open the 'Note History' side panel. From here you can see every time a note was edited and saved - including text edits, pinning and colour customisation. Changes will only appear in the 'Note History' panel if you clicked 'Save' after making the change.
