How do I record if work is being completed under warranty?
For NHS Wales work, you are required to record when the work is under warranty (similar to how Free Repair worked previously). The following will be guaranteed under warranty:
Fillings
Root Fillings
Inlays
Onlays
Porcelain Veneers
Crowns
Bridges
You must select whether the work is being done under a 12- or 24-month warranty, and which warranty Care Package to claim.
When charting, expand any applicable treatment item, by clicking the dropdown arrow to the left of the item.
Use the 'Under Warranty' field.
This defaults to 'N/A'.
If the work is being performed free of charge under warranty, use this dropdown to select which warranty was relevant, depending on when the original work was performed.
If applicable, use the 'Warranty Period' field to select the duration. This will automatically generate the correct Warranty Care Package.
If working under warranty, only enter lab fees if the lab is being charged to the patient. Labs associated with warranty work are ineligible to be part of the claim.
