Supported Operating Systems
A Microsoft-supported operating system is recommended for EXpro. This ensures continued security updates and system stability. Your choice of operating system may be limited by your hardware or additional practice management software, so please check compatibility with your equipment suppliers.
🚨 Important - Windows 2000 is not supported.
RAM requirements
Server minimum RAM: 4 GB
Additional computers minimum RAM: 4 GB
If you're using Sirona-based devices (e.g., XIOS Sensor), your server should have at least 4 GB RAM for stable operation.
Digital imaging storage requirements
Minimum screen resolution: 1280 x 1024
(Lower resolutions may cause parts of the interface to be hidden or inaccessible.)Minimum Storage Capacity for Imaging: 160 GB or more
(Dependent on the expected volume of images captured at your practice.)Recommended Storage Type: Internal Hard Drive or Solid State Drive on the main EXpro server PC.
Network-attached storage devices (NAS drives) are not supported, as it may result in poor performance due to slower network speeds.

Device compatibility
Some legacy capture hardware may not be supported on modern operating systems.
For example, older ISA-based capture cards used with early Trophy/Kodak devices may not function on systems running Windows XP or later.
Trophy / Kodak Equipment
If your practice uses Trophy or Kodak-branded X-ray equipment, its important to note that multiple versions of Kodak Imaging software exist. EXAMINE pro have tested and currently support the following versions:
