What is Dentist Portal?

Dentist Portal is a mobile-friendly WebApp provided by MPC and designed specifically for Dental Providers, allowing convenient, on-the-go access to key business and performance data directly from Dentally.

It can be easily installed on smartphones or tablets, putting your essential practice information directly at your fingertips, anytime and anywhere!

Simply open the options menu (often three dots or lines, at the top or bottom of the browser) and select 'Add to home screen'


How to utilise Dentist Portal

Appointment Diary

The 'Appointment Diary' tab helps you:

  • See detailed views of appointments for the next five working days.

  • Easily identify appointments, patient names, treatment types, and available slots which will be displayed in red.

  • Check your 'Potential Revenue Opportunities'.

Financial Overview

The 'Financial' tab provides insights into:

  • Invoices raised, broken down by:

    • Last working day

    • Month to Date

  • Earnings per hour, broken down by:

    • Worked hours

    • Available hours

  • Compare financial data with the previous year.

๐Ÿ“ Please Note - Choose Month YTD for invoices raised in the current month, or choose Cumulative YTD to include invoice totals from previous months.

KPI Summary

From this tab you can monitor key practice metrics including:

  • Patient analysis: Track booked appointments, FTAs, and cancellations.

  • Diary utilisation: View booked versus available hours.

  • Recall stats: Assess recall effectiveness.

  • Patient activity: Quickly identify active, new, and lapsed patients.

Open Courses of Treatment (COT's)

From this tab you can quickly evaluate your treatment pipeline by reviewing:

  • Total open courses created within the past year.

  • Courses without future appointments.

  • Outstanding treatment values.

Debt Management

Efficiently manage unpaid invoices, clearly categorised by age:

  • 1-29 days

  • 30-59 days

  • 60-89 days

  • 90+ days

๐Ÿ’ก Top Tip - Its important to action outstanding debt as soon as possible as invoices under the 30 day mark are typically easier to recover.

NHS Tracking

Effortlessly monitor your NHS-related performance with three distinct sections:

  • Actual vs Target: Easily compare actual UDAs against your targets. These are configured in Dentally.

  • UDA Detail: Monitor:

    • UDAs claimed per hour worked

    • UDAs claimed per hour available

    • UDAs required per hour available

  • DAF Outliers: to monitor COT's that need completing.
