π¨ Important: You can only reverse a claim on the same day it was submitted. After that point, the option will not be available.
Can I reverse an insurance claim?
If on the same day that you submitted the claim, you realise you have made a mistake and you do not want the claim to go to CDAnet, you can send a claim reversal.
Navigate to the patient's record.
Go to their 'Claims' tab.
Finding the claim you wish to reverse.
Select 'Reverse' from the options on the right.
You will be asked to confirm - select 'Perform Reversal'.
When the claim reversal is complete, a confirmation screen with the claim reversal details will display.
Look for the 'Disposition Message' towards the bottom - this will confirm if the reversal was successful. An acknowledgement will then follow later, and if there were errors with the reversal, the acknowledgement will give you further details.
Can I undo/resubmit an insurance claim which was manually reversed?
Navigate to patient's account.
Click three-dot menu next to invoice and select 'Resubmit claim'.
Check 'Images' under 'Materials forwarded'.
Click 'Generate claim' to resubmit electronically (or 'Print claim' to submit manually).
Alternatively, you can restore it from the claim management tool if needed.
Discard and then restore the claim to return it its original status. The 'Restore' option will only be visible if the the claim has been discarded first. You can then mark as manually submitted if needed.
