Insurance carriers for Canadian Dentally users 🇨🇦

In order to process claims you will need to set up a list of the current insurance companies that process claims through CDAnet.

💡Please note, Dentally will import the list of carriers on your behalf, so when you view this screen and add a carrier you will see a list of carriers readily available to set up.

Adding a new CDAnet carrier

If you have not previously set up a specific carrier, use the '+New CDAnet carrier' button.

If the insurer you need to add is NOT a CDAnet carrier use the '+New carrier' button instead.

Choose the CDAnet carrier from the drop-down list once prompted.

The details for this carrier will then load, You will need to add a carrier short code, network and an assignment before hitting 'Save'.

Make sure all other mandatory fields are entered. The rest of the settings will pre-populate with the relevant information from that insurer and should be left as they are.

Adding a new carrier (Non-CDAnet)

Use the '+New carrier' button to add a non-CDAnet carrier.

You will then be prompted to add all the details for this carrier. Once you are happy with these details, click 'Save'.

When adding a carrier this way, you will NOT be able to use them to send insurance claims electronically.

Insurance Carriers Settings screen

The button titled ‘Request all outstanding transactions’ will search all of the insurance carriers to look for pending responses for an acknowledged patient claim.

If you hover over the insurance carrier in the list, you can:

  • Request all outstanding transactions for that specific carrier.

  • Edit the insurance carrier.

  • Delete the insurance carrier (please note you currently have to contact Dentally in order to do this).

If you need to add a carrier (which would only be for one that does not accept electronic transactions and would require a printed manual claim form), you will need to contact our team via support chat in Dentally.
