πŸ’‘ Please note: Dentally will import the list of carriers on your behalf, so when you view this screen and add a carrier you will see a list of carriers readily available to set up.

How do I add a new CDAnet carrier?

  • Navigate to your insurance settings. Under the 'Insurance carriers' tab, you will see a list of all your current carriers. From here you can edit an existing carrier.

  • To create a new carrier, click '+ New CDAnet carrier'.

  • Select an existing CDAnet carrier from the dropdown list that appears.

  • The details for this carrier will auto-populate in the next screen (see our detailed guide for a full explanation of the available fields). These should be left as they are. You will need to ensure the 'Carrier short code', 'EDI code', 'Network' and 'Assignment' fields are populated correctly before proceeding.

  • When you are finished, click 'Save' to add the new carrier to your list.

How do I add a new non-CDAnet carrier?

🚨 Important: If you add a non-CDAnet carrier, you will not be able to use this carrier to submit insurance claims electronically.

  • Navigate to your insurance settings. Under the 'Insurance carriers' tab, you will see a list of all your current carriers. From here you can edit an existing carrier.

  • To create a new carrier, click '+ New carrier'.

  • You will be prompted to add the details of the carrier. Complete the fields as needed.

  • You will need to ensure the 'Carrier short code', 'EDI code' and 'Carrier name' fields are populated correctly before proceeding, and add the contact details if known.

  • When you are finished, click 'Save' to add the new carrier to your list.

How do I request outstanding claim transactions?

  • Navigate to your insurance settings. Under the 'Insurance carriers' tab, you will see a list of all your current carriers.

  • Click 'Request all outstanding transactions'. This will search all of the insurance carriers for pending responses for an acknowledged patient claim.

  • You will be presented with a list of outstanding transactions. This may take a moment to load.

  • Clicking 'REQ' or 'RES' will copy either the request or the response to your clipboard.

  • Alternatively, you can click on the arrow πŸ”„ icon to the right of a carrier to request outstanding transactions for only that specific carrier.
