Raised PRSI claims in Dentally can be reported in the PRSI claims report.
Using the filters on the report, claims of the appropriate status, panel number and date range can be easily found and the claims updated to reflect their status with Welfare partners.
Using the PRSI Claims Report
The PRSI Claims report can be found in the Reports section of Dentally:
As a default, the report shows all recorded PRSI claims for your practice. Using the filters, the results of the report can be adjusted to show just the claims you need to find.
โ
โThe filters and how they work:
As with all reports in Dentally multiple filters can be applied to find the exact results you require from the report.
Location: For Multisite practices, the claims can be filtered to just those raised for panel numbers which belong to the specific site.
Date: Claims can be filtered by a range of dates. The dates that can be selected are:
Claim Submission - the date the claim was recorded in Dentally
Reconciled on - When claims are marked as Settled, Rejected, etc, they are marked with the date this reconciliation took place
Paid on - When claims are marked as paid, the user selects the date that payment was actually received
The From and Until dates selected in the fields below represent the start and end date of this range you would like to find.
Tax Reference: When claims are reconciled and marked as Settled, etc, the user can add a Tax reference for the payment from PRSI. Filtering using this reference will help to group all claims settled in a single payment from PRSI.
PPS Number: If you would like to find claims for a single patient's PPS number in the report, the PPS number can be typed into this field to filter the report to just those claims raised for that PPS number.
Practitioner number: Claims can be filtered be the practitioner whose Panel number was used to raise the claim.
Status: Filter claims by their current status.
Status Comment: If Status Comments have been added to a claim, these can be filtered be each type of Status Comment.
'Fee received does not match fee requested': The Fee Received will be set to match the Fee Requested when a claim is marked as Settled. If the fee received was manually set to differ because another amount was received, this will filter the current results to just those claims. Note: a Fee Received of Zero is not classed as a different amount to the Fee Requested. Unpaid claims should be set as Status 'Rejected' if they have been refused.
Some typical uses of the PRSI Claims Report:
Using the Report to find PRSI Income
Filter the report to the required Location, Practitioner and date range where appropriate or required.
Set the Status filter to 'Settled'.
The PRSI Fee Received total will represent all paid claims.
Using the Report to find Claims which require action:
Filter the report to the required Location, Practitioner and date range where appropriate or required.
Set the Status Filter to 'Queried'
If required, the report can be further filtered by Status Comments. Where comments have been made against the Queried claims, claims requiring a specific action can be found.
Once a queried claim has been resolved and can then be considered resolved, the claim status should be updated to Settled and the Fee Received set accordingly.
