With PRSI enabled as an option on your Dentally settings, you will automatically be provided with the 3 types of treatment available for reimbursement under PRSI.

  • PRSI Exam

  • PRSI Periodontal Treatment

  • PRSI Scale & Polish

PRSI Fees & Patient Fees

The PRSI Fees for the treatments are automatically set to those currently dictated by Welfare Partners. These will be charged appropriately when charted and will be updated as and when there are changes to the fee schedule.

For the appropriate treatments, the fees that the practice charges to the patient can be set by the practice. These are, however capped appropriately:

PRSI Exam: No patient fee

PRSI Scale & Polish: Capped to โ‚ฌ15 for the patient fee

PRSI Periodontal Treatment: Uncapped patient fee

Adjusting the Default patient fee

To adjust the default fees for PRSI Scale & Polish and PRSI Periodontal treatment, go to Settings (Permission level 4 users only) and go to Treatments & Plans. Once you have selected the treatment to adjust, move to the 'Pricing' tab in the treatment settings and set the default fee.

Note: for PRSI Scale & Polish, no fee higher than โ‚ฌ15 can be set. For PRSI Exam, no patient fee can be entered.

When the treatments are charted for a PRSI registered patient, the appropriate fee will be charged to the patient - as with all private treatments, this can be adjusted on the treatment plan, but cannot be adjusted higher than the appropriate cap.
