Dentally stores clinical note history and transcripts against the patient record. Depending on what you need to find, you will either access it from the notes section or the audit tab.

How do I view the audit history of a note?

  • Open the patient's notes via the 'View note' button or the 'Notes' section in the clinical sidebar.

  • Navigate to the relevant note by clicking on the relevant 'Treatment plan' or 'Appointment'.

  • Click the three-dot menu on the right-hand side of the note.

  • Click 'Audit history'

The audit history shows a full log of activity for that note, including when the recording was started, when the transcript was created, when the note was generated, edited, or regenerated, when the note was last updated and by whom, and any amendment history.

How do I view a note transcript?

  • Open the patient's record and click the 'Audit' tab at the top of the record.

  • Locate the relevant entry by finding 'Audio recording' in the 'What is it' column.

  • Use the filters at the top of the screen to narrow results - for example, filtering by date to find a transcript from a specific appointment.

  • Click 'View changes' on the right-hand side of the relevant entry.

  • The transcript will open as an overlay on the same page.

  • Close it when you are done and you will return to the audit tab.
