How do I submit a MoH claim?
π‘ Top tip: If you choose to submit a claim manually (by sending it directly to MoH instead of through Dentally), you can update the status to 'Submitted manually'. If you do this, the submission date will reflect the date you updated the status to this.
There are two ways to begin submitting a claim to the Ministry of Health (MoH) - it can be done as part of the claim generation process, or you can select claims which have already been generated previously and submit them.
To submit a claim which has already been generated:
Navigate to the claim management tool.
Tick the checkboxes for all claims you wish to submit (their status must be 'Ready to submit'), then click 'Submit to MoH'. Alternatively, if you don't select any individual claims, it will include all eligible claims.
If you select a claim which has already been sent, it cannot be resent.
After clicking 'Submit to MoH', you will see a preview window showing the email that will be sent to the Ministry of Health. This includes the claim summary and email body.
If you select an item that is part of a bundle, it will automatically include all other items within that bundle, even if you haven't ticked them.
If you have selected more than one claim to submit, you can click through to see the preview for each one.
Once you are happy with the details, click 'Submit X claim' (this will show the total number of claims you are about to submit).
This will send the claim automatically to MoH, and the status and date of the claims you have submitted will be updated.
If sending fails, the status would remain as 'Ready to submit' - a 'Failed to submit' comment is added, along with a button to retry.
π‘ Top tip: You can choose where your claims send to automatically, in 'Settings' > 'Other'. If you wish, you can set the claim summary submission email and the approving dental officer email.
