Dentally Vision updates 🩻

πŸ†• New: Enhancement filter defaulting

Enhancement filters are now disabled by default for Vistascan, TWAIN and PSPIX devices, improving the image quality. Editing sequences has also been moved behind a settings cog.


Global updates 🌎

🌟 Improved: Updated default recall method to SMS for new payment plans

Based on feedback from users, when a new payment plan is set up, the default recall method will now be SMS rather than letter. This reduces confusion when setting up new patients - and it can still be changed when creating a new payment plan if you prefer.

This change only applies to new payment plans created going forward. For existing payment plans, you can change the default recall method from the payment plan's settings.

🌟 Improved: Doctor and specialist lookup

We have expanded the doctor lookup to include specialists across patient details and correspondence, and updated the wording. Previously, you could only search for doctors in the 'Details' tab, and access to specialists varied when creating letters or emails.

Now you can search for both doctors and specialists in all three places, making it easier to record referral information. We have also fixed some bugs with the lookup itself.

🌟 Improved: Expand/collapse/select all invoices and payments

To make it easier to view all the details about a patient's account, and take a payment that covers all unpaid invoices, we've added two quick shortcuts:

  • Click the arrow chevron to expand or collapse all items in either tab.

  • Click the top tickbox to automatically select all unpaid invoices (when you're in the 'Invoices' tab) - this will also select all unpaid invoices across multiple family members if you have the filtering applied.

🌟 Improved: Updated terminology to 'Allocated'/'Unallocated' on reports

You will now not see the term 'Explained'/'Unexplained' used anywhere in the app to describe allocations. This has been updated to 'Allocated'/'Unallocated' in all reports to match the account screen, and ensure it's clearer and more intuitive.

🌟 Improved: Clarification in the 'Appointments' report

We have updated the 'Filter date on' and 'Booked Online via API' filter names in the 'Appointments' report to make them easier to understand, and have also simplified how appointments booked via API are displayed in the 'Booked Online via API' column.

πŸ› Bug fix: A small number of patients received invalid deposit links, leading us to temporarily pause access to the feature while we resolved the issue. The feature has been re-enabled and all sites with a Stripe account configured can request deposit payment via SMS again.

🌟 Improved: Updates to adding BPE scores

Thanks to your feedback, you can now add notes to a BPE score to record additional context about the assessment, such as referrals or who assisted. You will also be prompted to save if you attempt to navigate away while recording a BPE score, to ensure your scores are properly saved.
