Welcome to our first Product Update of 2024! Let's explore all of January's features and improvements!

🌟Improved: Treatment plan update

When a quote is started by someone other than a practitioner, the quote will now default to being in the name of the treatment plan's practitioner.

🌟Improved: Invoice updates

Clicking close on a new invoice without adding any items will now automatically discard the created invoice, preventing "zero value" invoices from appearing against patient accounts accidentally.

🌟Improved: Hover charting

Hover charting has been enabled for new users by default, and hover charting will now produce better treatment suggestions for all users. Discover more on our News Centre.

For users who do not yet have a full list of suggested treatments, recently charted treatments will appear in the hover chart suggestion list more quickly, ensuring you are getting the maximum benefit from the feature.

🌟Improved: Click charted treatments to delete

Where a base charted treatment or incomplete treatment plan item is charted on a tooth, clicking the item on the tooth with the treatment selected will allow the user to delete incorrectly charted items more quickly. Find out more

🌟Improved: Treatment list order by code or name

Treatment items listed in the chart screen can now be ordered by treatment code or treatment name to help find your treatments more easily. Read more

🌟Improved: Pin favourite treatments to top

You can now choose to pin your favourite treatments to the top of your treatment list in the chart screen. Changing the category of treatments shown will now allow you to list all treatments in that category with your favourites easily accessible at the top. Discover more

🌟Improved: Invalid medical history status and reason

We've now enabled users to mark medical histories as invalid and apply a reason. Previous answers to invalidated medical histories are hidden from Dentally Portal and iPad users for clinical safety and GDPR reasons. Learn more

🌟Improved: Updates to the practitioner schedule screen

Our revamp of the schedules list screen makes it easier to see the practitioner's working schedules. All practitioners for a given location are listed once. If a practitioner has more than one schedule, these are grouped together. We've also made all new schedules active by default. Visit the help centre to read more.

πŸ›Bug Fix: Treatment Plan Display

The treatment plan tab is now displaying in the correct order.

πŸ›Bug Fix: Treatment plan settings

You can now restrict treatment plan estimate templates to those set to be available in your practice when working in a multisite environment.

πŸ›Bug Fix: Medical History

Newly created medical histories are now pre-populated with the answers from the last form submitted (unless the form is marked as invalid) rather than the first form.

πŸ›Bug Fix: Email address format

The email address formatting issue that, on rare occasions, would result in Dentally emails not being received is now resolved.

πŸ›Bug Fix: Date picker

Selecting a date in the calendar date picker where the practice was closed no longer results in a mismatch between the date in the picker and the date on the calendar.


πŸ›Bug Fix: Filters

Fixed an issue where filters weren't respected correctly on the NHS Scotland Orthodontic report.

πŸ›Bug Fix: Cancel NHS Claim workflow issue in NHS NI

A bug has been resolved which caused an inability to cancel newly queued NHS claims from being submitted.


πŸ›Bug Fix: Plan fix

When adding family members, the payment plan will no longer automatically reset to the existing family member's plan once changed.

Implemented minor fixes to improve overall app performance and stability.
