Our monthly Product Update and Newsletter are here to keep you informed about what is happening here at Dentally.

🌟Improved: Saving Clinical Notes

We have improved the workflow where a user navigates away from unsaved changes to treatment plan items. Now, when attempting to leave a chart with unsaved changes, there is a prompt showing all items with unsaved changes and these changes can all be saved with one click. Read more in our blog here.

🌟Improved: Display site email rather than website on PDF's

Correspondence PDF's such as letters, invoices, estimates will now show the site email address where there is one. Where one doesn't exist, the site website will be used.

🌟Improved: Added support to allow export of the Waiting List report for level 3 users

🌟Improved: Improved Perio Exam historical exam selection

🌟Improved: Added support for alternative tooth notations in the Perio exam

When the practice has tooth notation preference other than Palmer notation, this is now supported in the Perio exam.


πŸ› Bug Fix: Changes made to the Multi claim update option in the PRSI claims report

Changes made to allow status updated to multiple Queried claims.

πŸ› Bug Fix: Fixed NHS UDA Forecast calculation

In issue has been resolved where non NHS treatments were affecting the UDA forecast report findings where the plan contained Fillings/Extractions


🌟Improved: Medicare CDBS and DVA Code Updates

In January 2023 Medicare released code updated for CDBS and DVA. These have been updated for all Australian practices

🌟Improved: Electronic Payments - Multiple Terminal Selection

If a practice has multiple terminals, each user can now select a terminal once and save it against their login so that they don't have to select it each time.

This applies to:

  • Health-fund estimates

  • Health-fund claims

  • Electronic payments processed through Dentally

Dentally Portal

πŸ†• Customisable user permissions in the Manage app

We've now added the option to define what an L3 user can edit in the Manage app. Let your L3 users edit settings or simply view only. Customisable to each feature.

πŸ†• Coming soon: Patient forms without login

We know scanning forms is time-consuming - and we don't like wasted paper either. The Portal team has been working on a way to get more patients to complete their forms online before attending your practice. We like to call this Fast Track Forms, part of our new Task Reminders service coming soon to the Manage App.

πŸ†• Coming soon: Book together

We're excited to announce we're soon to be reintroducing book together to our patient app. Book together allows patients to book their routine dental and hygiene appointments at the same time, in one go.

🌟Improved: Refinements to Portal account registration

We've tweaked lots of things to make the patient registration process as smooth as possible, deleting unnecessary steps, improving interactions and refining our patient record matching algorithm.

  • We've removed the postcode from the "Find your patient record" form because it wasn't contributing much to the record matching score.

  • We noticed some patients were entering their email address incorrectly before authentication, so we now offer the option to edit it.

  • Some patients were having trouble with the country code selection. Since most users are in the same country as the practice, we now only ask for it when a number isn't recognised.

  • We improved loading states between verification steps to provide more feedback that verification is proceeding.

🌟Improved: Multisite navigation

We've moved the site navigation from the top bar to the sidebar to make it more obvious the site which is being edited.

πŸ› Bug Fix: Fixed a problem where the normalised e.164 standard phone number was being used to update the patient record

πŸ› Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where the wrong verification screen was being shown in certain registration scenarios

πŸ› Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where the wrong email was being displayed during patient record matching
